RETURNS

Not happy with your purchase? Contact us to initiate a return within seven days. For customers to return their order and receive a full refund, the item must be unopened, unused, and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

 

Once we receive the return, we will thoroughly inspect the product to determine if a refund is due. There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted for reasons not due to our error. These will be determined in a case-by-case situation.

ARE THE PLATES DISHWASHER SAFE?

No, wood splits and cracks when exposed to dishwasher temperatures, humidity, and water. To protect the integrity of your dishware, please refrain from putting them in the dishwasher. 

CAN I PUT MY DISHWARE IN THE MICROWAVE? 

No, our products are hand-wash only. Microwaves can reduce the lifetime of your product. 

 

We know hand washing is not the way of the world these days and maybe a deal-breaker for you but hear us out for a minute on a few reasons why we do not like to use the microwave for little one's food.

 

01) There is evidence that microwaves reduce nutrients in food. We all know that any cooking will change the nutrients in food somehow because we are denaturing proteins, but microwaves suck the life out of food. Remember: low and slow cooking preserves the most nutrients, or at least that is what studies show.

 

02) Who likes the TASTE of food cooked or reheated in the microwave? In pour opinion, microwaved food does not taste as good! Your kid will have its fair share of microwaved ramen noodle eating experiences in college. Let's not rush it.

 

03) Most individuals use plastic plates or plastic Tupperware to heat food, which can cause issues over time. The more the plastic has been used and scratched, the better chances are for harmful chemicals to leak into the food. Yes, you can buy microwave-safe plastic containers, but eventually, they leak too.

HOW LONG WILL MY BAMBOO TABLEWARE LAST?

At Tre’s Lunchbox, our bamboo dishware is designed to last a lifetime, but remember anything made from nature requires your care. Natural Care.

Our products are not build to within heavy falls or consistent banging around. Doing so can cause cracks, splits, or scuffs and may render them damaged beyond use.

 

You can extend the lifetime by seasoning/oiling your bamboo products monthly or as often as you feel necessary. Seasoning your dishware keeps the wood supple and moisturized.

 

Treat your bamboo like you would your skin. The more exposed to water elements, the more it becomes scaly and dry, eventually leading to cracking and splitting.

 

A generous application of coconut oil conditions the wood, and monthly application saturates the layers, keeping the wood resilient and shining.

WASHING & RESTORING

Our products are hand-wash only and not suitable for the dishwasher or microwave. Bamboo is naturally antibacterial and microbial, so warm soapy water is all you need, nothing fancy.

When washing please be sure to remove the silicone ring so that the product can thoroughly be dried. Like any other natural product exposed to water repeatedly, make sure you are NOT creating an environment conducive to mildew. This incident occurs when your products are wet or soaked for a prolonged period.

WHERE IS MY PRE-ORDER?

Pre-orders typically take between 30-90 days to ship. We will keep you updated on official ship and restock dates via our website and email blast. Be sure to provide a valid email address during checkout and us to your trusted senders' list. 

WILL MY PLATE STAIN WITH FOODS LIKE SPAGHETTI?

Preventative maintenance is critical. What we mean is, if you are seasoning your plate monthly and on a need basis, your plate should be fine. In the unfortunate event, your plate gets stained, ACT FAST.

 

The faster you treat the stain, the better the results will be. A laundry detergent (i.e., Arm & Hammer or Seventh Generation), which contains enzymes to help break down stains, is ideal for pre-treating wooden surfaces stained with curry or blackberries. Always check a small area first to make sure there are no adverse reactions. You can also try the BSP solution.
The steps are as follows: 1) Mix water and baking soda to form a paste. 2) Apply the paste to the stain and rub softly with a non-abrasive towel. 3) Rinse and repeat if necessary.

HOW OFTEN DO I SEASON/OIL MY TABLEWARE?

Seasoning your bamboo tableware takes about 5-10 minutes a month. Follow the steps below. You will have a wonderful collection of bamboo products that will last an exceptionally long time!

01) Season after cleaning and drying: Make sure your bamboo tableware collection is as clean as possible and thoroughly dry. 02) Apply the coconut oil: Use a dry, clean, soft cloth or paper towel to apply the oil. Apply the oil in an even layer over the entire bamboo surface (We recommend coconut oil, almond oil, walnut oil, carnauba wax, or Linseed oil). 03) Soak: Let the oil soak in overnight if possible or at least 3-4 hours. 04) Remove any excess: Using a dry, clean cloth or paper towel, wipe off any remaining oil so that the bamboo does not get wet or sticky to the touch.

WHY IS MY PLATE A DIFFERENT COLOR?

As hard as we try to get each product the same as what you see on our website, it is just impossible. Our products are of natural materials that vary in color, texture, and grain. Since this is a thing, that means no two products are the same.

 

When we laser on the eyes, nose, or mouth on the bamboo, it may sometimes appear much darker or lighter than the website's image or the recent product you ordered. The color alteration is not due to fading or default with the products, but merely the natural way bamboo reacts. 

WHAT IF I RECEIVE THE WRONG ORDER?

Well, that's no fun! If you receive the wrong item, please contact our customer support team at info@treslunchbox.com. Include a photo of the incorrectly shipped product, as well as your order number, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

WHAT IF I RECEIVE MY PRODUCT DAMAGED?

It happens! If you receive a damaged product, please send a picture of the damage to info@treslunchbox.com. Please include your order number, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
